Job Requisition ID # 25WD89423 Intro We are looking for a Principal Software Engineer to join us in developing the next-generation, AI-powered architecture design product. Our teams work on everything from complex 3D drawing on the web to building machine-learning-based real-time analyses. Your contributions will have a direct impact on shaping our offering and accelerating the work of teams around you. As a Principal Engineer, you’ll play a key role in setting the technical direction, solving complex cross-cutting challenges, and help ensure our product scales with impact. Your work will enable users to discover smart, sustainable solutions and gain valuable insights in their projects. About us We are on a mission to help design better cities. According to the United Nations, more than 90% of future population growth will happen in cities. The construction industry is responsible for 40% of global CO 2 emissions. To respond to this trend and combat climate change, the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry needs to change the way they work . We are building the new generation of cloud-based software tools that will drive this change in AEC. We started our journey as Spacemaker , a Norway-based startup , and became part of Autodesk in 2020. Our tools help architects, urban planners, and real estate developers find the smartest and most sustainable ways to unlock the potential of their projects. Responsibilities As a Principal Software Engineer, you will use your technical expertise and strategic thinking to drive progress across team boundaries. You’ll work on ambitious challenges, from evolving core architecture to improving scalability and performance across the product. You’ll mentor engineers, lead by example, drive high-impact technical contributions, and help align engineering efforts with broader business objectives . You’ll be surrounded by fun, highly engaged people who are empowered to lead initiatives that make a lasting impact.
