Data Lead Browserbase powers web browsing capabilities for AI agents and applications. We manage headless browser infrastructure for automations that interact with websites, fill out forms, and replicate user actions. We are a Series B startup that grew our revenue 5x in 2025 and are continuing to grow, fast. ABOUT THE ROLE We’re looking for our first data hire at Browserbase to establish the foundational data architecture, metrics layer, and standards that Browserbase will rely on as we scale. It is intentionally hands-on early, with a clear path to building and leading a data function over time. WHAT YOU’LL DO BUILD THE FOUNDATIONS - Design, build, and maintain production-grade data pipelines and analytics models - Establish standards for data quality, reliability, and documentation across teams - Lay the groundwork for future agentic and AI-assisted data workflows DEFINE AND OWN THE METRICS LAYER - Own core business metrics, definitions, and instrumentation standards - Partner closely with Growth, Product, Engineering, and Ops to align on sources of truth - Ensure metrics are trustworthy, well-understood, and consistently used ENABLE SELF-SERVE ANALYTICS - Build systems that reduce ad-hoc data requests rather than scaling reporting work - Enable teams to answer their own questions with confidence - Advocate for data literacy and responsible use of AI-driven analytics tools HELP SCALE THE DATA FUNCTION - Once foundations are in place, help define the roadmap for hiring and org design - Grow into a formal Head of Data role as the company scales WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR - Strong SQL skills and experience building production-grade data systems - Comfort operating across analytics engineering, data modeling, and light analysis - Business fluency across Growth, Finance, and Product - A low-ego, high-ownership mindset with strong cross-functional instincts - Interest in leadership over time, but motivated primarily by impact rather than title YOU’RE A GOOD FIT IF YOU… - Have high agency and can operate with ambiguity in an early-stage environment - Enjoy building foundational systems that others will rely on - Care deeply about correctness, clarity, and long-term maintainability - Communicate clearly and collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams - Are excited about shaping not just systems, but standards and culture WHY JOIN US - Be the founding data hire and shape how data works at Browserbase from day one - Build systems that directly influence product decisions, growth, and operations - Work closely with a small, high-bar team tackling hard infrastructure problems - Join an ambitious startup where your impact will be immediate and compounding MORE ABOUT BROWSERBASE Working here means having flexibility and ownership over our brand and product.
