A Day in the Life As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be an individual contributor in our technical functions, advancing existing technology or introducing new technology and therapies. You will formulate, deliver, and manage assigned projects, collaborating with stakeholders to achieve desired results. You may mentor colleagues or direct the work of junior professionals. Responsibilities focus on the development of systems or initiatives related to the support of existing technologies or therapies, from design refinement to implementation and sustaining activities, while adhering to policies and applying specialized knowledge and skills. Responsibilities Research, develop, design, and test electrical components, equipment, and systems for commercial, industrial, and wearable/diagnostic device applications. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (FCC, ISO13485, IEC 60601, EMI/EMC). Oversee certification processes and interact with certification agencies. Conduct design reviews, verification, validation, and reliability testing; develop and maintain safety protocols. Maintain detailed design documentation and support regulatory submission processes. Lead electrical system design, schematic capture, PCB layout, and prototyping; support hardware debugging and troubleshooting. Design analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits, including signal integrity analysis and manufacturability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including firmware engineers, to integrate hardware and software. May manage projects and delegate work, providing guidance, coaching, and training to other employees. Required Knowledge and Experience Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, OR Master’s degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience, OR PhD with 0 years relevant experience. Nice to Have Experience working in the medical device industry. Working knowledge of design and simulation of RF antennas, as well as RF antenna testing. Experience developing products in compliance with RF wireless communications standards (including Bluetooth) for medical devices. Experience with Agile and waterfall methodologies. Working knowledge of software development. Experience with schematics and PCB layout. Experience designing to regulatory standards (FCC, ISO13485, IEC 60601, EMI/EMC). Proficiency in analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuit design. Experience prototyping, debugging, and troubleshooting hardware systems.
