Medtronic’s Fort Worth, TX location is looking for a Technician II that will be responsible for supporting the service and repair of Medtronic Powered Surgical Solutions division with opportunities to work on additional products.
This position performs a variety of tasks including, diagnosing, and reporting product findings, troubleshooting, parts management, repair, packaging, data gathering, leading lean manufacturing improvements, assessing inventory and prioritization of daily work, presenting to management and engineering, and utilizing ERP and QMS systems.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
Performs a variety of duties on electronic, mechanical, and electromechanical devices.
Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems.
Works from schematics, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.
Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format.
Some experience with cycle counting and inventory management.
Ability to take initiative and be self-managed.
Ability to implement countermeasures to work through technical roadblocks.
Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience and may require vocational or technical education or certification in addition to prior work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Diverse background to work in multiple workstreams.
Aptitude for quickly learning and assimilating a broad array of information
Experience in medical product manufacturing / assembly operations
Experience working in FDA & ISO 13485 regulated industry
Nice to Have:
Associate degree or technical certificate in relevant field
Experience working in a regulated industry
Knowledge of navigating quality systems
Technical knowledge of manufacturing processes
Mechanical and electrical print reading skills for use in diagnosing and correcting equipment/tooling issues
Strong technical writing skills
Good computer skills (MS Word, Excel)
For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
