A Day in the Life The Marketing Intern will support the marketing and operations teams by organizing product and operational data while contributing to market research and strategic projects. The role will involve building centralized product information resources, supporting operational reporting, and assisting with market assessments for potential new product introductions in Canada. This internship offers hands-on exposure to the medical device industry and cross-functional collaboration with marketing, supply chain, regulatory, and operations teams. The intern will gain experience in data analysis, market research, and healthcare market dynamics. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned. This is a temporary position. Product Data Management Assist in building a comprehensive master list of all product items used across the business by consolidating information currently stored across multiple systems and files. Compile and organize key product attributes required for operational tracking and RFP submissions, including: Product codes (CFN, MATNR) ABCD codification Unit of Measure (UOM) Product sizes Health Canada license information Risk classification List price and average selling price (ASP) Other key operational attributes. MDR Product Tracking Support the development of a post-MDR master list of product MATNRs generated through global MDR initiatives. Work with the supply chain team to clean and validate product data. Assist in organizing information used to evaluate: Local and distribution center inventory Forecasting and safety stock levels Lead times Potential stock gaps and GTIN-related backorders. Product Obsolescence Management Assist in identifying obsolete products that remain active in internal systems. Work with supply chain data extracted from SAP to clean and update obsolete item lists. Support coordination with regulatory and operations teams to update tracking tools based on inventory levels, in-transit products, and regulatory status. Operational Reporting Assist in preparing the weekly business snapshot report. Extract and organize raw data from backorder and ETA reports. Format Excel reports for final review by the Operations Manager. Market Research & Market Assessment Conduct market research to support the evaluation of potential new product opportunities in Canada. Gather and summarize information on market size, competitive products, pricing, and reimbursement landscape. Assist in compiling insights into market assessment reports used to support strategic decision-making. Support the marketing team with competitive analysis and customer insights when evaluating new technologies .
