Management Accountant

A Day in the Life Medtronic’s Integrated Health Solutions (IHS) business delivers integrated clinical, operational, and financial solutions to healthcare providers across the UK & Ireland. As part of this transformation-focused division, you will play a key role in supporting financial performance, operational efficiency, and strategic growth, becoming a key link between finance, commercial teams, and clinical service operations. We are seeking a Management Accountant to support financial reporting, revenue processes, inventory integrity, cost control and digital finance transformation across our Managed Services. This role combines technical accounting, commercial finance, and systems/process transformation—ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, complex, and internationally connected environment. You will partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial results, support margin optimisation, and help drive Medtronic’s digital finance agenda. Hybrid role, 2 days in the office. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned: Lead month-end close activities, including journals, reconciliations, and supporting schedules Ensure compliance with US GAAP, Medtronic internal controls (SOX), and global accounting policies Manage revenue accruals, contract billing, and revenue recognition Reconcile inventory and validate pricing across SAP and Ingenica systems to ensure financial integrity Collaborate with teams to support customer profitability Support audit readiness, technical accounting for complex transactions, and implementation of new standards Drive automation initiatives and process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce manual effort Improve finance processes, controls, and data flows across SAP, Ingenica, and related systems Required Knowledge and Experience: ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent professional accounting qualifications (Part-qualified at final stage considered) Advanced working knowledge of Excel skills, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, SAP preferred Knowledge of UK/US GAAP principles, Cost accounting, month-end close, journal entries, revenue recognition and margin analysis Proactive mindset with passion for automation and continuous improvement Physical Job Requirements The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position, but they are not an exhaustive list of all the required responsibilities and skills of this position.
