Job Description
KPFF Coeur d’Alene’s Transportation Team focuses on designing infrastructure that moves people and connects communities across the region. We work on a wide range of transportation projects, including local and State roadways, intersections, and interchanges, bicycle and pedestrian facilities, and other major infrastructure efforts throughout Idaho and the Inland and Pacific Northwest. Our team supports projects from early planning and feasibility through design, permitting, and construction. We collaborate closely with public agencies (local, state and federal), transit and port authorities, contractors, and fellow engineers to deliver thoughtful, sustainable solutions that improve mobility, restore natural systems, and strengthen the built environment.   Established in 2024 by engineers who call Northern Idaho home, KPFF’s Coeur d’Alene office is our newest (and one of our most exciting) additions! As we continue to expand our presence across the state, we’re seeking a Senior Transportation Engineer/Project Manager to contribute to the development of infrastructure projects and support the growth of our local practice. This role offers the opportunity to join a growing team early and play an integral part in shaping our work in the region.

Minimum Qualifications  
7 years' experience with civil engineering projects (transportation preferred)  Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE)  Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certification or Professional Engineering (PE) Registration in ID.  Experience working with or for the Idaho Transportation Department (ITD.)  Experience working with or for Local Agencies or Highway Districts.  Working proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil3D, Bonus Points for MicroStation and OpenRoads (InRoads, GEOPAK)  Excellent written and verbal communication  Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment  Passionate about providing exceptional client service.  
Physical Demands:
Duties are primarily conducted in a standard office setting, requiring prolonged periods of sitting at a desk or computer. Occasionally, may be required to lift objects weighing up to 15 lbs. Occasional visits to project and construction sites may involve walking, standing, kneeling, or navigating uneven terrain. Travel to project sites or client meetings, which may involve driving or flying.
Compensation:
The base salary for this role is competitive and will be determined based on the candidate's experience, education, and skills. The expected range for a qualified candidate is $105,000 - $115,000 annually . Additionally, we offer performance-based bonuses to recognize and reward outstanding contributions in each Reporting Center.
