Senior Engineer, Smart Manufacturing & Data Analytics

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: As an expert on data analytic for HGA operation to support since ad hoc data gathering, data analysis, data visualization and create effective data analysis platform for fast and precise responding to special and routine requirement Design, develop, and implement custom software tools and applications for data analytics strategies that align with HGA manufacturing goals and key performance indicators (KPIs). Collaborate with engineering and production teams to define software requirements, user interfaces, and functionalities tailored to manufacturing needs. Analyze production data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies that impact HGA yield, quality, and cycle time including defect and failure data to identify and mitigate recurring issues. Create predictive models to forecast manufacturing outcomes and provide proactive recommendations for process adjustments. Lead cross-functional data analytics projects from conception through to implementation, ensuring alignment with manufacturing engineering and business goals. Develop and implement process improvements and data-driven solutions to optimize manufacturing yield, reduce waste, and increase efficiency. Lead root cause analysis of manufacturing issues using statistical techniques with actionable insights to engineering and production teams. REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Software Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science/Engineering, or a related field 2+ Years experience in data science, data analytic or related field Knowledge on software development languages (Python/R coding, Java, C++), database management (SQL, NoSQL), data analytics tools, Spotfire and data visualization platforms PREFERRED: Eager on learning and self-development Experience in electronics or HDD industry SKILLS: Project management abilities, Problem-solving, Cross-functional collaboration #LI-SW1 WD thrives on the power and potential of diversity.
