Full Stack Engineer

Our proprietary process then turns these scans into highly detailed, editable, as-built files in industry-standard formats. Our technology was featured at Apple's keynote when the iPhone's LiDAR sensor was introduced, and we now model millions of square feet each month. As a global virtual-first company, our team members are distributed worldwide, with a concentration in the US and Europe. Location : Fully remote. We prioritize candidates with solid overlap with US working hours. South America is ideal. We build products that help architecture, design, and renovation companies capture real spaces and turn them into usable deliverables. On the engineering side, that means backend APIs for our iOS app, backend systems for customer and internal workflows, and occasional web product work where it helps deliver the whole experience. We’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer whose primary strength is Python/Django. This is a product-engineering role with backend as the center of gravity. We want someone who can design and evolve APIs, debug real production issues, and make the system easier to reason about over time. You should be comfortable owning work end-to-end: running services locally, understanding how backend changes show up in the iOS app or web portal, and collaborating closely with iOS, QA, Platform, and Product. What you’ll do Build and improve backend systems in Python and Django that power our iOS app and web portal. Design, implement, and evolve APIs with a strong focus on clarity, reliability, and maintainability. Work on real product problems: business logic, data modeling, permissions, integrations, sync behavior, and operational edge cases. Debug production issues across application code, background jobs, data flows, and client/backend interactions. Improve quality through thoughtful reviews, pragmatic testing, and better system boundaries. Contribute to web product work when useful, with backend development as the primary focus. What we’re looking for Strong experience building and maintaining production systems with Python, Django, and Django REST Framework or similar tools. Strong API design instincts and experience supporting real client applications. Solid understanding of relational data modeling and experience with PostgreSQL. Redis experience is a plus. Good judgment around reliability, performance, testing, and maintainability. Confidence debugging backend behavior locally and in production. Clear written and spoken English, and a collaborative working style. Experience writing technical design docs or proposals. Nice to have Experience supporting mobile clients, especially iOS apps. Experience with web frontend technologies such as TypeScript and React. Experience with background processing systems such as Celery, RabbitMQ, or Kafka. Experience with cloud infrastructure such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
