Associate - AI Integration Engineer

About this role The AI Integration Engineer will lead the build and delivery of AI-powered features that improve data and application workflows across GIP and BlackRock. This role focuses on integrating large language model (LLM)-based technologies such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot and Snowflake Cortex into business intelligence platforms (Power BI), application environments (Power Apps) and data pipelines. The engineer will be responsible for prompt design, API integration, experimentation and embedding intelligent automation throughout the data stack in collaboration with BI, app development and infrastructure teams. Responsibilities AI Feature Development & Integration Design, prototype and implement AI-powered assistants for data analysis, reporting and decision support Integrate Microsoft Copilot into Power BI dashboards and Power Apps workflows to enhance user efficiency Develop and optimize prompt libraries for ChatGPT and other LLM-based assistants Leverage Snowflake Cortex and BlackRock-approved AI platforms to embed intelligent automation into the data ecosystem Work closely with business intelligence, application, and data engineering teams to find opportunities for AI-powered features Lead rapid experimentation with AI tools, evaluating feasibility, accuracy and business impact Translate business use cases into structured AI workflows and solutions guided by specific inputs Collaborate with external vendors and internal technology teams to integrate new AI capabilities Governance & Performance Implement guidelines for AI usage, including security, governance, and alignment with BlackRock standards Supervise AI feature performance, analyze usage trends and drive improvements through iteration Ensure cost-efficient use of AI interfaces and cloud platforms Produce documentation and training materials for end users on AI-enabled tools and workflows Requirements Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, data science, information systems or a related field; Master’s degree preferred 4-6 years of experience in software development, data engineering or business intelligence with exposure to AI/ML applications Proven experience integrating APIs and cloud services into enterprise applications Familiarity with AI/LLM platforms (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot, Snowflake Cortex) and embedding them into BI or application workflows Experience working in financial services or large-scale enterprise environments (preferred) Skills Strong skills in API integration, workflow automation and application development Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate) Proficiency in SQL, Python or JavaScript for data and app integrations Understanding of prompt engineering, LLM behavior and AI feature optimization Knowledge of Snowflake and modern cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP) Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work across technical and business teams Strong communication and documentation skills, with the ability to explain technology-based solutions to non-technical collaborators Our benefits To help you stay energized, engaged and inspired, we offer a wide range of benefits including a strong retirement plan, tuition reimbursement, comprehensive healthcare, support for working parents and Flexible Time Off (FTO) so you can relax, recharge and be there for the people you care about.
