Job Description
Job Title: Benefits Sales Support Specialist
About the Role:
• Provide daily support to clients and employees via email and phone
• Coordinate benefits administrative processing: qualifying life events, eligibility questions, ID card requests, coverage confirmations, disability forms
• Handle inquiries related to benefit billing, employee payroll deductions, COBRA, and retirement
• Assist with benefits projects, database maintenance, and Open Enrollment activities
• Support team following supervisor instructions and meet operational metrics and SLAs
Responsibilities:
• Monitor and respond to employee inquiries via Zoom phone queue
• Prepare Open Enrollment workbooks and support OE tasks
• Respond to benefits questions via email, cases, or task systems
• Process life insurance, STD, LTD claims; assist with claims resolution, plan changes, enrollment updates
• Enter benefit enrollments and payroll deductions accurately and timely
• Set up and maintain employee deductions and employer contributions in payroll system; resolve payroll discrepancies
• Process qualifying life events per plan and company policies
• Audit employee benefit deductions; calculate arrears if needed
• Communicate with insurance carriers to resolve questions and issues
• Process manual benefit enrollments, updates, terminations with carriers when needed
• Support clients in benefit administration guidance
• Generate reports from Prism; respond to payroll or audit requests
• Handle system updates, benefit changes, terminations
• Access carrier portals for manual updates, enrollment confirmations, ID card requests
• Understand other benefits areas: Billing, Reconciliation, COBRA, Retirement
• Adhere to KPIs and operational metrics
• Participate in special projects as assigned
• Assist employees with unpaid claims or master plan issues
Skills:
• Intermediate proficiency with Office tools and systems like Client Space and Prism HR
• Strong customer service skills
• Organizational skills, teamwork, frustration tolerance, meticulousness, willingness to learn, flexibility, proactivity
• Advanced English (90% reading, writing, conversational)
Desirable:
Academic Background:
• Professional degree related to Business Administration or related field
Experience:
• 3 to 5 years professional experience
• Suggested 2 years in Benefits Administration
• 2 to 5 years customer service, client-facing roles, or administrative assistance experience
