Manager, M&A Controllership
The Manager, M&A Controllership will support and help lead key accounting aspects of global M&A transactions under IFRS, ensuring compliance and accuracy throughout the process. This role will partner closely with Finance, Legal, Tax, and Business leadership teams to support strategic acquisitions and integrations, as well as disposals/divestitures and separation activities where applicable.
The position will be responsible for supporting due diligence, acquisition accounting, intangible asset valuation support, and the integration of acquired entities into our financial systems. In addition, this role will support disposal accounting considerations and the separation of divested businesses, ensuring alignment with corporate policies and global standards.
This role also contributes to consistency in M&A accounting practices by helping implement standard approaches, maintaining strong documentation, and supporting timely and accurate financial reporting for transactions. The Manager will foster collaboration across teams and maintain clear communication with stakeholders to enable successful execution of the company's growth strategy.
About the Role
Support and help lead the accounting workstream for M&A projects, ensuring compliance with IFRS standards, particularly IFRS 3, 10, 13, IFRS 5, and IAS 36 and 38 .
Support comprehensive due diligence on potential acquisitions and divestitures to assess financial health and identify accounting considerations.
Support acquisition accounting processes, including preparation of accounting entries and schedules and the coordination and review of purchase price allocations and related documentation.
Support disposal/divestiture accounting processes, including held-for-sale/discontinued operations considerations (where applicable), gain/loss support, and related disclosures.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support smooth financial integration of acquired entities and, where relevant, effective financial separation of divested businesses (including intercompany considerations and TSA impacts).
Contribute to the development and maintenance of accounting policies, procedures, templates, and checklists to support M&A activities and promote consistent execution.
Provide guidance and practical support to finance and accounting teams on acquisition accounting, disposal accounting, and integration/separation processes.
Support analysis and reporting on the financial impact of acquisitions and disposals, providing insights to senior management and key stakeholders.
Support preparation and review of financial reporting disclosures related to M&A transactions, ensuring compliance with IFRS and company policies.
Stay updated with developments in IFRS and other relevant accounting standards and share implications with the team.
Support retention of transaction documentation and make materials available to local audit/tax teams where and when required.
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners and support cross-team efforts to improve processes and efficiencies.
About You
Fluent in English.
Bachelor's degree in accounting; CPA or equivalent certification required .
Strong experience in accounting, with a focus on IFRS and M&A-related projects.
Experience supporting due diligence, acquisition accounting, intangible asset valuation support, and integration activities; exposure to disposal/divestiture accounting and separation activities is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with global and diverse teams.
Experience working with SaaS business models and understanding of accounting considerations in the SaaS industry.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Experience working in a multinational company.
