Accounting Analyst (Bank)

We are looking for an Accounting Analyst to join the General Accounting Operations (AO) team in Gdansk, Poland. AO supports global accounting processes, drives standardization and efficiency, and enables future growth across Thomson Reuters. In this role, you will manage end‑to‑end bank reconciliation activities, including performing monthly reconciliations in BlackLine, ensuring accuracy and timely completion, and resolving reconciling items such as unidentified receipts, payment exceptions, bank fees, and timing differences. You will work closely with Treasury, AP, AR, Payroll, and the Intercompany Team to clear open items and maintain healthy aging. You will prepare and post journal entries in SAP when needed, support month‑end close (cash validation, clearing account tie‑outs), and ensure all reconciliations meet internal control and audit requirements. The role also includes maintaining SOPs, training junior team members, identifying root causes of recurring issues, and recommending improvements to processes, master data, BlackLine rules, or SAP logic. You will provide basic KPI reporting, including on‑time completion, aged items, and exception trends. About the Role In this opportunity as Accounting Analyst (Bank) , you will: Responsibilities Prepare balance sheet reconciliations. Approve balance sheet reconciliations. Approve journal entries. Open items reporting, follow-up and escalation with various departments. Perform month-end close responsibilities with a complete understanding of the close process and the financial framework within an SAP environment to achieve complete, accurate and compliant financial statements. Build and maintain collaborative relationships with partnering organizations by providing regular and frequent communications. Assist in monthly financial reporting; prepare analysis of accounts as requested. Assist in projects on process improvements. Provide training to other team members. About You You’re a fit for the role of Accounting Analyst (Bank) if you have the following required qualifications: Technical / Professional Skills & Competencies At least 3 years of professional accounting experience with multi-national companies. Knowledge of common accounting procedures. Effective written, verbal and interpersonal skills with a competence in presenting in a professional and influential manner. Attention to fine detail and demonstrate high-level of accuracy. Enterprise resource planning ERP software — for example, SAP, Oracle, BEx, BlackLine. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint). Proficiency in English. Certifications / Education Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required, OR equivalent qualification OR significant development after specialized vocational training OR substantial professional development after High School Degree.
