We are looking for a Senior Accounting Analyst to join Thomson Reuters General Accounting Operations (AO) located in Gdansk, Poland. This position is responsible for performing accounting activities such as balance sheet account reconciliations, account approval and open item resolution for various region worldwide on a monthly basis and partners with other departments to leverage systems and resources. About the Role In this opportunity as an Accounting Analyst , you will: Responsibilities Prepare balance sheet reconciliations. Approve balance sheet reconciliations. Approve journal entries. Open items reporting, follow-up and escalation with various departments. Perform month-end close responsibilities with a complete understanding of the close process and the financial framework within an SAP environment to achieve complete, accurate and compliant financial statements. Build and maintain collaborative relationships with partnering organizations by providing regular and frequent communications. Assist in monthly financial reporting; prepare analysis of accounts as requested. Assist in projects on process improvements. Provide training to other team members. About You You’re a fit for the role of Accounting Analyst (Tax) if you have the following required qualifications: Technical / Professional Skills & Competencies At least 4 years of professional accounting experience with multi-national companies. Knowledge of common accounting procedures. Effective written, verbal and interpersonal skills with a competence in presenting in a professional and influential manner. Attention to fine detail and demonstrate high-level of accuracy. Enterprise resource planning ERP software — for example, SAP, Oracle, BEx, BlackLine. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint). Proficiency in English. Certifications / Education Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required, OR equivalent qualification OR significant development after specialized vocational training OR substantial professional development after High School Degree.
