Overview
The Open Finance Data Access team is responsible for delivering secure, reliable, and scalable access to consumer‑permissioned financial data across the Mastercard Open Finance platform. The team partners closely with engineering, platform, and external data providers to enable high‑quality integrations that meet customer, regulatory, and ecosystem expectations.
Role
The Product Owner, Open Finance – Data Access drives the delivery and ongoing quality of Mastercard’s Open Finance data connectivity capabilities. This role owns backlog prioritization and sprint execution for the Data Access team, translating platform strategy and business needs into clearly defined, actionable work for delivery teams.
The Product Owner leads agile ceremonies, manages cross‑functional dependencies, and oversees the execution of integrations and data access initiatives with financial institutions and ecosystem partners. A key responsibility of the role is ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of data provider connectivity by identifying issues, prioritizing remediation and optimization efforts, and guiding teams to deliver against Mastercard Open Finance standards and customer expectations.
All About You
Strong experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager in agile development environments
Proven ability to prioritize and manage sprint backlogs while balancing delivery speed, quality, and long‑term platform health
Experience leading integrations, APIs, or platform connectivity initiatives, preferably in financial services, data, or payments ecosystems
Comfortable coordinating cross‑functional teams, facilitating agile ceremonies, and driving delivery accountability
Analytical and detail‑oriented, with a focus on monitoring, improving, and maintaining the quality and reliability of data integrations
Effective communicator able to work with engineering teams, internal stakeholders, and external partners
