What you’ll do Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain APls, services, and systems across Stripes engineering teams using Ruby, Java, and Go Build software infrastructure, including developing, testing, and deploying it Design and develop software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design Develop and direct software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation Debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine the feasibility of design within time and cost constraints Work with engineers across the company to build new features at large-scale; Build new systems to securely store sensitive data; Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes. Who you are Minimum requirements This position requires the following: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field. 1 year of Software Engineering experience. 1 year of experience working with Python, Java, Go programming languages. 1 year of experience working with AWS cloud infrastructure (e.g. S3, EC2, EBS etc.). 1 year of experience implementing industry standard design patterns. 1 year of software engineering experience in building distributed backend applications at scale. 1 year of software engineering experience in building low latency systems. Pay and benefits Salary : $156,800 - $235,200/yr. 40 hrs/week 50% Telecommuting Permitted. Multiple Positions Available.
