Coinbase is looking for a highly motivated accounting professional to join our Accounting team and play a key role in our continued growth and achievement of operational excellence. The Accounting Manager, Platform will have the opportunity to make meaningful impact on a dynamic, high-growth technology company. Reporting to the Assistant Controller, the Accounting Manager will be responsible for reconciling and analyzing platform data in the company's financial / platform systems. This position requires impeccable attention to detail and a focus on process improvement. What You'll Be Doing Reconcile and analyze ending balances Assist with the launch of new digital assets and products impacting platform accounting operations Ensure that appropriate internal controls over platform accounting are in place Operationalize new areas of the business to facilitate streamlined accounting transactions With major system experience, recognize the links upstream/downstream and verbalize the impacts reliance in connection with changes or enhancements Provide project requirements and coordinate, manage and oversee any testing to improve existing processes and automate any related systems Provide support for internal and external audits What We Look For In You 9+ years of progressive accounting experience with a mix of Big 4 public accounting and industry experience in the fintech/financial services industries Minimum 2 years of experience in a manager role. Financial services industry experience such as fintech, payments and/or broker dealers B.A. or B.S degree in Accounting, Finance or related field A demonstrated history of solving multiple and complex operation and accounting challenges Desire to exceed expectations and drive positive change in the organization Operational processes experience Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with the ability to manipulate and digest mass amounts of data required Individual should work well in a dynamic environment and be able to recommend and implement process improvements Demonstrates the ability to responsibly use generative AI tools and copilots (e.g., LibreChat, Gemini, Glean) in daily workflows, continuously learn as tools evolve, and apply human‑in‑the‑loop practices to deliver business‑ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in efficiency, cost, and quality.
