Department Overview
The Krakow PCR (Professional and Commercial Radio) department is responsible for delivering software for mission-critical and business-critical communications for public safety, humanitarian solutions, manufacturing, retail, logistics and many other verticals. Our team follows industry-standard and innovative software development practices such as continuous integration, continuous deployment, component and system-level testing. We use Agile methodologies to organize our work ranging from cross-functional small teams to Agile portfolio management. As owners of pipelines and system tests, we are responsible for the building SW, automating tests, end-to-end software integration testing.
Job Description
The responsibilities of the Software Engineer position includes designing and developing software solutions and new features in the maintained SW pipelines (CI/CD). This role requires a medium level experienced software developer who works on problems and tasks (with guidance or limited guidance). Key responsibilities include: developing and supporting new features in the CI/CD pipelines, coding, maintaining existing SW pipelines and actively contributing to test automation and CI/CD development. The successful candidate will apply design and architecture patterns to properly solve problems, write code that conforms to software craftsmanship principles, and apply secure software development principles. The person hired for this position will be working with an experienced team that is fully located in Motorola Solutions in Poland/Cracow.

Mid level programming skills in Java, Python (or deep knowledge of C, C and willingness to extend Java and Python knowledge))

Good analytical skills
Troubleshooting and problems solving skills
Focus on quality and attention to details
Knowledge of operating systems basics such as Windows and Linux
Basic knowledge of IP networks, TCP/IP) - as an advantage
Degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Electronics, Automation and Robotics, Information and Communications technologies or any related fields
English B2
Willingness to develop towards automation
2 days a week from Krakow Office (Czerwone Maki)
