Systems Engineer

What will your job look like: Evaluate, select, design, install, implement, configure, upgrade and optimize the performance of Veradigm application systems, databases and assigned technologies required to deliver infrastructure for internal and client-facing applications. An Ideal Candidate will have: Manages, maintains, monitors and supports the infrastructure environment in assigned technology domain Installs, configures and supports hardware and software required to operate assigned technology Works with operations, to provide ongoing maintenance including updates, patches and antivirus updates Troubleshoots and resolves issues in assigned technology including hardware, software, operating systems and application-related issues; Conducts performance monitoring, systems health checks and capacity planning Identifies the common causes of the defects, prioritizes them and systematically removes them so that they do not reoccur in further development work and reduces the overall defect injection rate (DIR) Ensures validation has happened (peer, stakeholders) and all review comments have been closed / incorporated before delivery of any artifacts Ensures the quality of the deliverables as per the defined defects standards Takes complete ownership for the assigned task and reports progress of the project / task to all stakeholders timely; Keeps all stakeholders informed in a timely manner of scope creep and schedule delays Documents issues with resolutions and work directly, both inside and outside the team, to drive constant improvement Exercises judgement within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criterion for obtaining results Reviews and provides inputs to the project manager and leadership to approve and confirm the project configuration and build management plans Actively participates as the primary technical resource in project meetings, takes ownership of technical duties and drives project to successful completion Standardizes and automates processes and monitoring using scripting technology; Understands and follows change management procedures Develops technical documentation and system design documentation Technical Skills & Responsibilities: Provided comprehensive system support for both cloud-hosted and on-premises infrastructure. Administered Microsoft Windows Server 2016 environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and Windows networking. Managed certificate services, including SSL/TLS implementation and renewal processes. Handled application publishing, installation, and configuration across multiple environments. Prepared and maintained detailed technical documentation for deployments and support procedures. Set up and maintained production and test environments, ensuring availability and stability. Acted as primary escalation point for support issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve incidents. Participated in on-call rotation, providing timely response and resolution to critical issues. Demonstrated strong communication skills, effectively interacting with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
