Job Summary The Team Engineering Job Summary As cyber threats evolve in sophistication and security becomes a critical business imperative for organizations worldwide, Palo Alto Networks is seeking a Principal Technical Marketing Engineer to serve as the technical face of our NGFW and Quantum Security strategy. You will be THE subject matter expert (SME) for Next-Gen Firewalls and Quantum Security at Palo Alto Networks—a technical visionary who thrives at the intersection of deep firewall architecture and strategic market positioning. This role uniquely positions you to shape how the industry leader in network security continues to establish dominance in the rapidly evolving cybersecurity market. As the bridge between Engineering, Product Management, Sales, and the field, you will translate complex NGFW and Quantum Security concepts—AI-powered threat prevention, zero trust enforcement, cloud-native security, and advanced persistent threat detection—into compelling narratives, hands-on demos, and scalable enablement programs. You'll influence the product roadmap by bringing real-world insights from the enterprise security ecosystem while ensuring our sales teams and customers understand both the 'how' and the 'why' behind our solutions. You will be an industry thought leader: positioning Palo Alto Networks as the network security leader through speaking engagements at major industry events , authoring whitepapers that shape industry discourse, and working with cutting-edge technologies like Quantum Security, PA-Series/VM-Series/CN-Series NGFWs, ML-powered threat intelligence, and cloud-native security architectures. This is a fast-paced environment where you'll shape the narrative as the market evolves—building demo environments that showcase our security efficacy, conducting technical deep-dives for customers and Sales Engineers, and collaborating cross-functionally with Engineering, Product Management, and channel partners to drive market impact. Key Responsibilities Develop high-impact whitepapers, architecture diagrams, video demos, and technical articles on Next-Gen Firewall architecture, Quantum Security, and advanced threat prevention. Document technical concepts, including best practices for PA-Series hardware firewall deployments, security policy optimization, and Quantum Security implementation. Develop and maintain premier demo environments showcasing NGFW and Quantum Security efficacy, including automated deployment scripts and reusable assets. Design and execute enterprise-specific threat simulations, including APTs, ransomware, and zero-day exploits, to demonstrate ML-powered prevention and Quantum threat intelligence.
