This role will support the Maneuver Dominance division — a team dedicated to developing and fielding highly autonomous systems to enhance the fight in the land domain. As our team expands, we are seeking a mission operations engineer to focus on the challenges of development projects in a fast-paced and ever-changing threat landscape. As a Mission Operations Engineer supporting Maneuver Dominance, you will plan and coordinate all flight-related activities across a diverse fleet of aircraft, including manned and unmanned assets. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless execution of test events, demonstrations, and operational deployments through expert logistics planning, resource management, and hands-on operational support. The right candidate is a resourceful problem solver who thrives with limited resources and adapts quickly to dynamic operational environments.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Support flight operations for aircraft, including operations planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to support development and customer facing activities.
Serve as Site Lead for flight test events, demonstrations, and operational deployments, coordinating personnel, aircraft, equipment, and logistics across multiple test locations.
Develop comprehensive logistics plans for demonstrations, deployments, operations, and maintenance of systems across varied military and test environments.
Coordinate with test engineers, pilots, program teams, and military partners to align logistics processes with test schedules, mission planning, and resource allocation.
Manage demonstration and test inventory, equipment readiness, and site logistics to ensure continuous operational readiness.
Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate logistical considerations into product design, development, and sustainment planning. Contribute to proposal development for new contracts, focusing on logistics and sustainment aspects.
Analyze and improve logistics and operations processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and scale operations across expanding programs.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in military and civilian airlift logistics, with a strong background in both ground and air support operations.
Proven experience in developing and implementing logistics strategies for complex military systems in line with Department of Defense (DoD) logistics processes, regulations, and standards.
Experience with logistics software and inventory management systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to optimize complex logistics networks.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Proficiency with emerging technologies in defense and their logistical implications.
Able to travel up to 50% of the time.
Ability to obtain up to a Top Secret clearance.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Aviation Operations, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience with C5, C-17, C-130 and civilian equivalent logistics planning, cargo handling, large-scale deployments of equipment, and supply flow.
Proficiency with autonomous systems or unmanned aerial vehicles .
