The Role:
We’re looking for a strategic, creative leader to shape how our brand shows up on social media. As Director of Social, you’ll own the strategy and execution of our presence across social media platforms; across organic and paid tactics; across homeowner and home pro audiences; and within integrated campaigns. You’ll help build our brand by increasing organic views and engagements, and you’ll help drive profitability by increasing conversions. In both cases, you’ll do it by setting the right strategy for each platform, briefing content informed by trends and best practices, collaborating with in-house and agency creative teams, and providing detailed, actionable performance insights. You’ll also be a key contributor to campaigns that span teams, collaborating closely with marketing and brand leadership and the influencer and PR teams.
What you’ll do:
- Build the brand through organic social by increasing views, in collaboration with our creative team.
- Drive profitability through paid social by increasing conversions, in collaboration with our creative and media teams.
- Approach organic and paid social in a holistic way by informing both content streams with the same cultural trends, platform best practices, and performance insights.
- Develop content for homeowner and pro audiences (as well as for employees).
- Work across 10 platforms simultaneously: Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Snapchat, X, Threads, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and Reddit.
- Develop social-first campaigns that double down on small successes with bigger bets.
- Contribute to integrated campaigns that span TV, radio, influencer, social, PR, and other channels.
Who you are:
- A strategic thinker who develops evidence-based strategies and tactics.
- A creative collaborator who can brief high-performing content across goals, platforms, audiences, and teams.
- A trend-spotter who lives in social platforms, is tuned into cultural moments, and is ahead of where attention is heading.
- A results-driven leader who is constantly thinking about how to improve performance and proposing new tactics that will have an impact.
Who you are:
- 5-8 years of experience managing organic social, ideally for a consumer brand, with 1-2 years of experience stretching across organic into paid.
- A proven track record of results.
- Experience supporting integrated campaigns and collaborating cross-functionally.
- Strong communication, project management, and organizational skills, with the ability to balance strategy and execution.
