Forward Deployment Engineer

We’re #1 in our category, and experiencing exponential growth. Overview As a Forward Deployment Engineer , you'll be the technical face of our company for customers from day one. You'll sit at the intersection of engineering and customer success — deeply understanding our AI/ML platform and ensuring customers integrate it successfully into their existing workflows. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role where your work directly shapes customer outcomes and informs our product roadmap. What You’ll Do Own the end-to-end technical onboarding experience for new enterprise customers, from kickoff through successful integration Build and maintain integration scripts, tooling, and documentation to accelerate customer time-to-value Serve as the primary technical point of contact during the onboarding phase, translating customer requirements into actionable engineering solutions Diagnose integration issues across customer environments (APIs, data pipelines, cloud infrastructure) and drive them to resolution Collaborate closely with product and engineering to surface customer feedback and influence the roadmap Develop reusable onboarding playbooks and internal tooling to scale the deployment process Travel to customer sites occasionally for critical onboarding milestones or technical workshops An ideal candidate should have 3–6 years of experience in a software engineering, solutions engineering, or technical implementation role Strong proficiency in Python and/or another backend language; comfort reading and writing production-quality code Experience with REST APIs, webhooks, and common integration patterns Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and data infrastructure tools Excellent communication skills — able to explain complex technical concepts to both engineers and non-technical stakeholders Self-starter mentality with strong project management instincts; able to juggle multiple customer engagements simultaneously Genuine curiosity about AI/ML and enthusiasm for helping customers unlock value from cutting-edge technology Nice-to-Have: Prior experience at an AI/ML or developer tools company Familiarity with LLMs, vector databases, or ML model deployment Experience with enterprise software environments (SSO, VPCs, data residency requirements) Background in customer-facing engineering roles (forward deployment, solutions engineering, professional services) Why This Role Direct influence on product direction — your customer insights will shape what we build High ownership from day one with a clear path to senior or team lead roles Competitive salary, equity, and benefits Collaborative, low-ego team that values craft and customer obsession Engineering at Speechify is exciting for a few reasons We provide an opportunity to not only increase your knowledge, but ours as well.
