Product Manager
The role & impact
As a Product Manager, you will drive customer and business value by taking ownership of both new and existing products. You will manage the entire product lifecycle, from early research and ideation through to implementation and continuous improvement, ensuring our products help make running a small business beautiful.
Your impact is measured through key commercial and customer success metrics as you solve complex problems and frame solutions. Working autonomously with the support of product leadership, you will act as a tie-breaking decision-maker to keep your team moving forward and aligned with our global strategy.
The team & how they connect
You will be part of a collaborative product function that values diverse perspectives and works together to create a positive impact. The team focuses on building strong internal relationships and networking across Xero to ensure every product fits into our long-term objectives.
The team is currently working on
- Developing and executing product roadmaps that align with Xero’s strategy and long-term goals.
- Implementing an effective release strategy and launch plan in collaboration with the wider product team.
- Managing non-functional concerns including privacy, security, and responsible data use.
- Driving the annual and quarterly OKR process to define success for your specific product line.
Where and how you can work
Xero supports a variety of flexible working arrangements including hybrid and remote options depending on your preference.
For remote positions we generally come together four times a year.

- Your background includes working within agile processes in a software development environment to deliver high-quality outcomes.
- You possess the ability to articulate product value and industry trends, acting as a trusted source of information for your stakeholders.
- You have experience defining long-term planning and influencing outcomes across various business contexts.
- You demonstrate commercial acumen by sizing market segments and defining clear success criteria for your team.
- You enjoy mentoring others and contributing to a culture where people are on-boarded effectively and feel empowered to do their best work.
