Your Impact As part of the team, you’ll contribute directly to the month-end close process. Beyond the core responsibilities, the team is deeply involved in driving process enhancements—constantly looking for smarter, more efficient ways to operate. You’ll also have the opportunity to build strong cross-functional relationships, partnering with a variety of internal finance teams to solve problems and improve outcomes. Journal Entries: Prepare and post recurring and non-recurring journal entries in compliance with GAAP. Account Reconciliations: Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including bank accounts, intercompany relationships, and accruals, ensuring all discrepancies are identified and resolved promptly. Fiscal Close Support: Assist the accounting team in the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure timely financial reporting. Automation & Process Improvement: Identify manual, repetitive tasks and utilize tools to automate workflows and reduce processing time. Data Analysis: Assist in the preparation of financial reports, trend analysis, and flux variance reporting to support management decision-making. Compliance: Maintain organized documentation for audit purposes and ensure adherence to internal financial controls. Minimum Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Experience: 2-5 years’ related accounting experience, lease accounting experience a bonus Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, preferred).  Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) is a plus. Preferred Qualifications: CPA or CPA candidate An analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and the ability to interpret financial data to identify trends or errors. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments. Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment and meet strict deadlines during fiscal close. Why Cisco?
