Senior / Lead Fullstack Engineer ABOUT THE ROLE We're looking for a Senior or Lead Full Stack Engineer to build web applications across the entire stack. You'll work on both frontend and backend systems, shipping features end-to-end and helping define how our products come together. At E2, you independently own features and deliver high-quality code across the stack. At E3, you're the technical leader of your squad—owning entire systems, driving architecture decisions, and mentoring engineers. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Build end-to-end — Design and implement features across frontend and backend - Own systems — Take responsibility for web applications from idea to production (E3) - Write quality code — Deliver clean, testable, well-documented code on both sides of the stack - Drive technical decisions — Contribute to (E2) or lead (E3) architecture and design discussions - Mentor engineers — Help teammates grow through pairing and code review - Leverage AI daily — Use AI tools to accelerate development, testing, and problem-solving - Improve observability — Build monitoring and alerting into systems from the start - Handle incidents — Respond to and resolve production issues across the stack WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Technical - 3+ years fullstack experience (5+ for E3) - Strong backend skills: Java/Spring (Python or Go a plus) - Strong frontend skills: Angular or React, TypeScript, HTML/CSS - Experience with APIs (REST, GraphQL), databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB), and cloud infrastructure (AWS) - Solid testing practices across the stack - Comfortable with CI/CD pipelines and observability tools AI Fluency - Uses AI tools (Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT) daily for coding, debugging, and testing - Builds reusable prompts or workflows that help the team (E2) - Uses AI strategically for architecture exploration, large refactors, and prototyping (E3) - Eager to stay current on AI capabilities relevant to development and fintech Communication - Writes clear technical documentation - Explains trade-offs effectively to engineers and stakeholders - Fluent in Spanish; working knowledge of English for cross-team collaboration Mindset - Product-minded—you think about user experience and business outcomes - Comfortable moving between frontend and backend as needed - Strong ownership; you see problems through to resolution NICE TO HAVE - Mobile development experience (Flutter, React Native) - Experience in fintech, payments, or e-commerce - On-call and incident response experience - Contributions to shared libraries, tooling, or internal platforms OUR STACK Backend: Java/Spring, Python, Go · PostgreSQL, MongoDB · AWS (ECS, Lambda) · GraphQL Frontend: Angular, React · TypeScript · HTML/CSS Tools: DataDog · Pulumi · Jenkins WHY APLAZO Our mission is to empower financial access and opportunity across Latin America through fair, simple, and transparent solutions.
