Job Description
The Role
In this role, you will monitor, identify bioinformatics pipeline deviance from standards, and suggest modifications to ensure compliance. You will aid in developing or specifying standards, methods, or procedures to determine product quality or release readiness. Working closely with bioinformatics and software engineers, you will help design or develop automated testing tools to ensure the continuous operation of the bioinformatics pipeline.
We are hiring for a shift:
Monday & Tuesday 06:00-16:00, Wednesday 06:00-11:00 &15:00-16:00, and Sunday 06:00-19:00.
Here's What You’ll Do
Monitor and maintain the scientific software to ensure its continuous operation.
Troubleshoot, investigate, and resolve or annotate potential operating issues.
Support computer system validation activities by drafting and executing qualification scripts and other documents
Work independently and collaborate with the development team to identify and resolve software bugs and implement improvements.
Provide on-call support to address urgent issues and minimize downtime.
Develop and maintain documentation related to software troubleshooting and issue resolution.
Continuously improve your knowledge of the software and its underlying technologies
Improve and automate error reporting applications.
Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table (Basic Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and 10 years of relevant work experience
Strong programming skills, particularly in Python and Linux
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience using a bioinformatics workflow framework (e.g. NextFlow, Luigi, Snakemake, NextFlow preferred), version control systems (Git preferred), Cloud (AWS preferred) and containers (Docker preferred)
Experience with Computer System Validation processes.
Experience in a GxP environments and knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements

The salary range for this role is $145,900.00 - $234,200.00. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An individual’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, performance, and business or organizational needs.

The successful candidate may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, other incentive compensation, or equity award, subject to company plan eligibility criteria and individual performance.
