Position Summary Under the guidance of Global Logistics leadership, works closely with the regional operations teams to ensure logistics capabilities, processes, practices and initiatives follow global standards. Gathers data and produces high quality analysis with the goal of reducing cost, enhancing service, and improving the organization's transport performance. Identifies underperforming areas in logistics and drives improvements. Plays a crucial role in the negotiation, evaluation and implementation of service provider agreements. Collaborates closely with functions including quality, packaging engineering, planning, customer service, finance, and purchasing. Acts as key relationship lead for logistics providers, managing performance, business reviews & spend. Position Responsibilities : Leads the orchestration of transport capabilities for the AMEA region. Analyzes, develops and implements aligned global logistics plans Authoring and updating and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures with carriers. Provides metrics, KPI’s, and executes analysis to support stakeholder decision making. Works with local and regional management at all sites to ensure logistics expenditure is accurately forecasted Ensures cost effective, efficient and traceable movement of company products both in-bound and out-bound. Collaborate closely with key business partner functions to drive high performing transportation solutions. Manages and participates in a wide range of projects as needed. Devises business cases for improved service capabilities to customers at optimal economic value to Illumina. Interprets contracts and monitors adherence to terms and key dates. Develops and drives cost reduction and continuous improvement plans. Acquires and maintains a clear understanding of the handling needs utilized for Illumina’s products. Prepares and delivers transport provider business reviews. Manages provider performance closely and acts to rectify service issues when needed Leverage Transport Management System (TMS) to drive visibility and analytics which are focused on service improvement and cost efficiency. Requirements : A strong communicator : can articulate and present clearly across multiple business functions. Analytically strong: has strong skills to turn data into solution-based stories, plans and deliverables. An excellent collaborator : able to work with regions & functions outside of GSC to create value-add outcomes. Strong business acumen: able to navigate and simplify data to present with clarity. An influencer: able to produce strong results whilst navigating a matrixed organization efficiently. IT savvy: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft tools and TMS an advantage.  Basic proficiency essential. Education and Experience : Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
