Job Description
Gameloft Indonesia are looking for an exceptional 2D Lead Artist to drive the artistic vision of console and mobile game projects. This role combines creative excellence, leadership, and production ownership, ensuring world-class visuals while guiding and inspiring a talented art team. You will work closely with the Art Directors and cross-functional teams to deliver visually outstanding, market-leading mobile game experiences.
In addition to leading the team, you will also take a hands-on role in AAA-level creation projects , actively contributing to high-quality asset production and setting the benchmark for artistic excellence across the project lifecycle.
What You Will Own
Define, elevate, and maintain the visual direction of the project Lead, mentor, and develop the 2D Artists into a high-performing team
Oversee end-to-end art production : planning, execution, and delivery Take an active hands-on role in AAA-level asset creation , setting the artistic benchmark and contributing directly to high-impact visuals Create and supervise character concepts, environments, UI, and marketing assets Ensure artistic consistency and premium visual quality across all assets Establish and improve art pipelines, workflows, and quality standards Collaborate closely with Designers, Developers, Art Leads, 3D Artists, Animators, and Producers Contribute to benchmarking and visual innovation within the mobile market
What We’re Looking For
5+ years of experience in the game industry 2–3+ years in a Lead / Senior art position, with at least work on 1 shipped titles
Proven experience leading and scaling art teams Strong mastery of color theory, composition, and visual storytelling Outstanding drawing skills and solid classical art fundamentals Deep understanding of 2D production pipelines (artistic & technical) Working knowledge of 3D workflows and integration Strong proficiency in Photoshop (experience with 3D tools is a plus) Solid understanding of the mobile games market and player expectations
Nice to Have
Experience in live-ops and performance-driven art production Exposure to marketing creatives and promotional art Experience working with game engines Familiarity with production management tools (Jira, Confluence, Miro, etc.) Art-related academic background
