Senior Manager, Global Accounts Receivable

We are looking for a Senior Manager, Global Accounts Receivable to lead our efforts in optimizing global cash flow and delinquency resolution. Based in Madrid with a global focus, you will lead the collections structure, overseeing operations that support our rapidly growing business. You will be responsible for driving the team toward common goals by collaborating with billing, sales, and various other internal departments. The Role: As the Senior Manager, Global Accounts Receivable , you will oversee the strategy for contacting past-due customers and resolving delinquency. You will empower your team to resolve customer concerns and negotiate payment arrangements that balance customer satisfaction with company financial health. The work you’ll do: Managing the team and driving key projects to drive long term efficiencies within the collection process. Forecast preparation : Manage the preparation of collection forecasts and scenario planning on future cash flows. Bad debt calculation : Coordinate the forecasting and preparation and analysis of bad debt provisions and reserves. Reporting to executives : Deliver high-level reporting, analysis and insights on collection performance to the executive team. Customer experience focus : Drive strategies to reduce payment delays and achieve higher customer satisfaction rates. Operational oversight : Monitor global accounts daily and ensure the team takes proactive actions to encourage timely payments. Advanced dispute resolution : Lead the resolution of complex issues in cooperation with sales, VE, billing, and other key stakeholders. Data investigation : Oversee the investigation of historical data for debts and invoices to identify trends. Internal collaboration : Partner with accounting operations to streamline payments, refunds, and process improvements. Cross-functional leadership: Actively collaborate with other finance functional areas to ensure global alignment. The qualifications you need: 8+ years in Accounts Receivable / Collections, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role managing global or multi-regional teams Proven track record of reducing DSO, improving cash flow, and minimizing bad debt Leadership: Experience building, scaling, and mentoring high-performing collections teams in a fast-paced, high-growth environment Systems Tools: Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP ERP , Oracle NetSuite ) and collections tools; strong Excel/financial modeling skills required Data Analytics: Ability to translate large datasets into actionable insights; experience with forecasting models and KPI tracking (DSO, aging, recovery rates) Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to partner cross-functionally with Sales, Billing, and Finance leadership to drive alignment and results Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; an additional European language (Spanish, French, German) is of advantage Mindset: Results-driven, proactive, and comfortable operating in ambiguity with a continuous improvement mindset Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field. MBA or relevant certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is a plus.
