<p>The <strong>Online Ordering team</strong> at DoorDash is responsible for building and scaling white-labeled 1P mobile apps for our restaurant merchants — from onboarding partners to delivering high-quality ordering features. The team develops and supports apps for both large enterprise merchants and SMBs, ensuring that Storefront apps are seamless, reliable, and engaging.</p>
<h1><strong>About the Role</strong></h1>
<p>As an <strong>Engineering Manager</strong>, you will lead a talented cross-platform team of full stack, Android, iOS, and backend engineers. You will be responsible for setting technical direction, driving execution of key initiatives, and developing a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation.</p>

<li><strong>Lead and Inspire</strong>: Manage, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of mobile and full stack engineers, creating clear career paths and development opportunities.<br><strong>Drive Technical Vision</strong>: Partner with technical leads on iOS, Android, and backend to define and execute the team’s architectural roadmap for the team.</li>
<li><strong>Deliver Impactful Features</strong>: Oversee development of core product experiences, including onboarding automation, user sessions, login mechanisms, push notifications, menu optimization, guest checkout, and reorder experiences.</li>
<li><strong>Collaborate Across Functions</strong>: Work closely with product managers, designers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into impactful, user-first solutions.</li>
<li><strong>Operational Excellence</strong>: Establish best practices in development processes, testing, release management, and monitoring.</li>
<li><strong>Strategic Ownership</strong>: Contribute to the broader Storefront strategy by ensuring that mobile apps align with long-term business goals and merchant/customer needs.</li>
<li><strong>Hiring: </strong>Oversee the hiring process for your team, in partnership with recruiting, to grow a diverse and inclusive team</li>
</ul>
<h1><strong>We're excited about you because you have… </strong></h1>

<li>BS, MS, or PhD. in Computer Science or related field</li>
<li>3+ years of experience in people management leading full-stack teams (backend, web, mobile) of 8+ engineers</li>
<li>8+ years of industry experience</li>
<li>Extensive experience as an engineer in a fast-paced, product-focused development environment</li>
<li>Experience with distributed system design, system scaling, and performance optimization</li>
<li>Hands-on leadership and strong product intuition</li>
<li>Humility - willing to get into the details and open to feedback</li>
<li>Growth mindset - you're eager to expand your skill set and excited to carve out your career path in a hyper-growth setting</li>
