The value of these products is fundamentally tied to their statistical characteristics. Therefore, the work of the Core DS team is critical to ensuring that our users get the most out of these features.</p> <h3 id="What-you’ll-do-as-a-member-of-Core-DS" data-local-id="9c30944e-861e-4d72-ae33-d64ed0b8dae0" data-renderer-start-pos="4477">What you’ll do as a member of Core DS</h3> <p data-renderer-start-pos="4516" data-local-id="181ead6e-51ad-4092-85b5-b7b761ade206">Broadly, you’ll work cross-functionally with all areas of the team from engineering, design, and product.</p> <p data-renderer-start-pos="4623" data-local-id="96b25c60-0c77-4e57-8353-2d2c7d17a752">Your core partners are the engineering team. You’ll be expected to do basic research on how features should be designed to satisfy certain statistical guarantees or performance expectations, create reference implementations or advise engineers on implementation details for production features, and occasionally get your hands dirty with production code.</p> <p data-renderer-start-pos="4979" data-local-id="6d748f13-bae8-4161-add0-da6aede1e61b">You will also be an extremely valuable resource to our design and product teams. You can expect to be involved in most product decisions to help size and scope projects with a technical bent, and frequently contribute to design discussions when a technical eye is needed.</p> <p data-renderer-start-pos="5252" data-local-id="a9c42135-ae31-4e77-ad51-08c1a9deae5e">Finally, you’ll hold the torch for making data accessible and useful for everyone on the team.
