We are designing, manufacturing, and operating an all-electric aircraft that can carry four passengers while producing minimal noise.</span></p>

<ul>
<li>Lead the design of a new all composite rotor blade</li>
<li>Create 3D models of composite parts</li>
<li>Generate laminate definitions for composite components</li>
<li>Create 2D drawings of components to support manufacturing and procurement, to include geometric dimensioning and tolerancing</li>
<li>Perform tolerance stack-ups of assemblies to ensure fit and performance</li>
<li>Generate bill of materials as required for the program and ensure accuracy</li>
<li>Release drawings, models, and documentation through configuration management tools</li>
<li>Set up program architecture for drawing management and release</li>
<li>Ensure any designs comply with company specifications and meet programs requirements</li>
<li>Perform design reviews, provide technical input related to dynamic systems, and participate in drawing release process</li>
<li>Establish and enforce best practices for critical aerospace components</li>
<li>Support program needs for conceptual design layouts and trade studies</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p>
<p>Required:</p>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field</li>
<li>6+ years of experience in design of aircraft dynamic systems and composite structures</li>
<li>Ability to read engineering drawings and interpret CAD models</li>
<li>Strong foundation in GDT and ASME Y14.5 standards</li>
<li>Ability to perform tolerance stack-ups</li>
<li>Understanding of common aerospace materials and fabrication techniques</li>
<li>Familiarity with common aerospace standards (NAS, MS, MIL-STD, AS9100)</li>
<li>Experience working with PLM systems (ENOVIA, Teamcenter)</li>
</ul>
<p>Preferred:</p>
<ul>
<li>Masters in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field</li>
<li>12+ years of experience in rotor blade or propeller design</li>
<li>Proficient in NX and Teamcenter</li>
<li>Knowledge of common manufacturing methods for composite structures</li>
<li>Familiarity with typical defects and common inspection methods on critical composite structures</li>
<li>Understanding of blade dynamics and aerodynamics and their influence on design</li>
</ul>
<p>This position will require travel up to 10% to Archer facilities or supplier facilities.</p>
