As part of a cross-functional team of exceptional engineers and product managers, you will develop new features and provide best-in-class support to help our partners scale their businesses.Tech stack:Our backend systems are written in Scala, and we use a suite of GCP services with extensive use of GKE, Pub/Sub, BigQuery, and SpannerContainerized microservices architecture with over 200+ services running primarily in Google Cloud KubernetesWe are heavily data-driven, making extensive use of tools like Amplitude, BigQuery, and DatadogWhat would your day-to-day look likeDesign, build and review code for our fraud and abuse backend platformIterate on features using Scala (no prior experience required) and technologies within GCPShip your first code in days, iterating on features in an agile mannerOperate autonomously but work closely with engineers and PMs to ensure high alignmentCollaborate cross-functionally with the product team and other Hopper teamsWe operate with few meetings and emphasize strong alignment and asynchronous decision makingAn ideal candidate hasWell-funded and proven startup with large ambitions, competitive salary and upsides of pre-IPO equity packages.Hopper will offer and cover 100% of employee premiums for private Major & Minor Medical insurances.
