This team plays an essential role in generating new business within mid-sized companies across various corporate sectors such as Technology, Finance, Healthcare, Retail, Manufacturing, Professional Services, and others across the Western United States.</p> <p>This division is led by <a href="https://www.linkedin.com/in/marshallttaylor/">Marshall Taylor - Director of Sales</a>. </p> <p>We are committed to a thriving in-office culture. This role requires that you be at our HQ in San Mateo, CA 5 days a week. Relocation support offered as needed.</p> <h3><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Source and close new business to consistently meet or exceed quarterly sales quotas</li> <li>Build an intimate understanding of Verkada products and their place in the industry</li> <li>Manage the full sales cycle: Prospect for new customers, host online demos, create proposals, and close deals</li> <li>Maintain accurate pipeline management with expert-level forecasting </li> <li>Consistently exceed activity targets through proactive outreach via phone calls, emails, conducting online demos, and facilitating trials.</li> <li>Act as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert to customers and channel partners</li> <li>Work closely with Channel Partners, Solutions Engineering Technical Support to ensure smooth launches and fuel future product growth</li> <li>Provide market/client feedback to Verkada’s Product/Engineering team</li> </ul> <h3><strong>What You Bring</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Must be willing and able to work onsite five days per week. </li> <li>At least 2 years of sales experience in a quota-carrying capacity </li> <li>Highly effective communication skills, with ability to build rapport, nurture relationships, and strong presentation skills</li> <li>Thrive in a dynamic, competitive, and fast-paced startup environment</li> <li>Bachelors degree preferred but not required </li> <li>Experience in Salesforce is a plus </li> <li>Tenacity, drive to learn, and self-motivated</li> </ul> <h3><strong data-stringify-type="bold">What We Value</strong></h3> <p>We're a team grounded in four core values that shape everything we do:</p> <ul> <li><strong data-stringify-type="bold">Teamwork</strong> – We selflessly share ideas, collaborate closely, communicate openly, celebrate shared wins, pick each other up, and find inspiration in each other’s success.</li> <li><strong data-stringify-type="bold">Ownership</strong> – We hold ourselves and our peers accountable without an ego.
