Founded in 2016, Verkada has expanded rapidly with 15 offices and 2,200+ full-time employees.</p></div><h3><strong>What You'll Do</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Develop features for embedded platforms such as Cameras, Access control, Alarms, Sensors in Linux embedded environment.</li> <li>Develop and maintain Go firmware for embedded devices with focus on performance and security.</li> <li>Extend Backend services implemented in Python and Go.</li> <li>Take part in projects from inception to deployment and customer support.</li> <li>Build prototypes, work on proof of concepts. </li> <li>Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate project requirements into well-designed and efficient code.</li> <li>Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure the delivery of high-quality and error-free software.</li> <li>Stay up-to-date with the latest Go language updates and best practices.</li> <li>Optimize software applications for better performance and efficiency taking advantage of Go.</li> <li>Actively participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to improve code quality and maintain coding standards.</li> <li>Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to software functionality, performance, and integration, ensuring a seamless user experience.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>What You Bring</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Demonstrated experience developing with Go, including its standard library and common developer tools (debugging and profiling).</li> <li>Good experience in Python programming or other scripting languages.</li> <li>Experience in version control systems.</li> <li>Experience designing and implementing APIs using REST, gRPC, and Protobuf.</li> <li>Working knowledge of SQL or NoSQL databases, such as DynamoDB.</li> <li>Experience building service-oriented backends, preferably within the AWS cloud environment.</li> <li>Experience in Linux Embedded development.</li> <li>Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Nice to Have</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Experience modifying drivers, working with HAL (Hardware Abstraction Layer) in AOSP, and customizing the AOSP build system (Soong/Blueprint).</li> <li>Hands-on experience in Android app development, debugging, and profiling; familiarity in Android Framework internals and AOSP API modifications.</li> <li>Experience in C or C++ programming.</li> <li>TCP/IP stack.</li> <li>Working knowledge in electronics - basic understanding of electrical circuits and usage of lab equipment, like multimeters.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Poland Employee Benefits</strong></h3> <p>Verkada is committed to fostering a workplace environment that prioritizes the holistic health and wellbeing of our employees and their families by offering comprehensive wellness perks, benefits, and resources.
