<h3><strong>About the Role</strong></h3>

<div class="p-rich_text_section">As a Hardware Compliance Engineer on our Hardware team, you will lead certification efforts for Verkada’s newest safety security products. Hardware Compliance Engineers partner with our Hardware Engineers, Mechanical Engineers and Program Managers to navigate the new product introduction process; you will own regulatory efforts from concept definition through to mass production shipping across the globe. This is a full-time, in-person role based in our Taipei, Taiwan office.</div>

<h3><strong>What You'll Do</strong></h3>
</div>
<ul class="p-rich_text_list p-rich_text_list__bullet" data-stringify-type="unordered-list" data-indent="0" data-border="0">
<li>Serve as the team’s subject matter expert for certifications relevant to our next generation of life safety security products. Steer all-new hardware products through a growing set of global compliance requirements. </li>
<li>Work directly with EE, ME and ID team members to develop and validate high performing design solutions. Translate safety standards into clear product requirements test plans. </li>
<li>Get hands on with hardware testing and troubleshooting. Help EE and ME counterparts overcome compliance and certification challenges throughout all testing and validation phases.</li>
<li>Drive key compliance related deliverables. Define key requirements, develop test plans, own technical documentation and coordinate various testing efforts with external labs or regulatory bodies.</li>
<li>Play a key role in global market access. Lead research, planning and documentation for compliance initiatives across the globe.</li>

<h3><strong>What You Bring</strong></h3>
</div>
<ul class="p-rich_text_list p-rich_text_list__bullet" data-stringify-type="unordered-list" data-indent="0" data-border="0">
<li data-stringify-indent="0" data-stringify-border="0">BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.</li>
<li data-stringify-indent="0" data-stringify-border="0">Strong technical knowledge of electrical or mechanical design, validation and debug.</li>
<li data-stringify-indent="0" data-stringify-border="0">Strong track record of success developing, manufacturing and shipping new electronic products.</li>
<li data-stringify-indent="0" data-stringify-border="0">Hands-on experience testing and debugging unintentional and intentional radiator products.</li>
<li data-stringify-indent="0" data-stringify-border="0">Experience with compliance standards relevant to Verkada including but not limited to FCC Part 15, EN 55032, EN 55035, UL/IEC 62368, UL2054.</li>
<li data-stringify-indent="0" data-stringify-border="0">Experience working with NRTLs to complete safety certifications (UL, TUV, Intertek, etc.) </li>
<li data-stringify-indent="0" data-stringify-border="0">Excellent organizational skills and written and verbal communication.</li>
<li data-stringify-indent="0" data-stringify-border="0">Flexible and adaptive in a fast-paced startup environment.</li>
