Technical Program Manager, Release Management

We need someone with curiosity, drive, independence, and leadership, who has hands-on experience with enterprise product releases across platforms.In return, you’ll have the unique opportunity to shape Cohere’s operations, collaborate with leading minds in the LLM space. You will get a chance to create extremely high-impact contributions to our fast-growing company, product and culture.This role is open to candidates based on the West Coast, or those who are flexible to travel.As a Technical Program Manager, you will:Deliver clear, timely, and consistent updates across engineering, leadership, and non–technical teams on the monthly container releases and major LLM model launches.Develop new practices and structures to better scale release management across our agentic workspace platform North, and all cloud partner platforms including Oracle, Amazon Web Services, Azure, and Cohere’s platform.Track releases and lead the release artifact management for AWS, Azure, Oracle, and Cohere’s platform.Work closely with Cohere’s platform engineering teams and modelling teams on model launches across platforms and partner platforms.Manage project timelines, dependencies, risks, and cross-functional alignment for all major releases and updates. The scheduling, coordination, quality control, and deployment process will be fully owned by this role.Track all technical bugs and liaise with engineering and the partner platforms to ensure that all bugs are addressed and fixes are delivered within SLAs.Coordinate across all disciplines to ensure release plans, marketing, branding, quality control, and other key stakeholders are considered and executed properly for each release.Manage partner requests by bringing opportunities and partner requests, coordinating timelines, and triaging processes with various internal teams to deliver in a timely manner.Execute: Ensure on-time delivery, track progress, and establish checkpoints for success.Problem-solve: Proactively resolve issues, coordinate dependencies, and prioritize impacts to quality and timelines.You may be a good fit if:You have 5+ years of experience as an Engineering/Technical Program ManagerYou have hands-on experience with delivering and launching LLMs and enterprise solutions.You have familiarity with SDLC, specific to modelsYou are technically aware of requirements around model security, governance, deployment, with a deep understanding of cloud service providers (CSP) and have demonstrated strong experience with utilizing cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, Azure, and other similar platforms.You are data driven, with a strong understanding of (or curiosity to learn) financial modelingYou are capable of cross-functional collaboration to make business decisions based on GPU efficiency and instance utilizationYou are Independent, self-sufficient, and has a strong desire (or curiosity) to automate processesYou have knowledge of (or interest in) LLM and token business modelsY ...
