Crusoe Cloud Network Engineering Team is responsible for designing, building, and operating the global edge, backbone, and data center network for High Performance Compute (HPC) Clusters with GPUs. The ideal individual will be highly motivated, self-directed, and desire to work on cutting-edge technologies related to the environment. You must possess excellent analytical and communication skills and be a great team player.As a Network Automation Engineer, you will focus on developing tools and automation solutions to support the scalability and reliability of Crusoe Cloud’s network infrastructure. You will work closely with other engineers and key stakeholders to gather requirements, provide technical input, and translate business needs into effective network tooling. By joining this team, you will gain marketable network engineering experiences in edge, backbone, and HPC-based data center networking on a massive scale.A Day in the Life:Conceptualize, build, and maintain automation and tools to support New Product Introductions, network deployment, release engineering, and operationsDevelop and implement operational process improvements in scalable, automated workflows to enhance operational efficiencyLead enhancements of automation for continuous integration, validations, testing infrastructure, release, and configuration management across our global backbone, data center, and edge networksPerform deep dives on complex technical issues across networks, ranging from automated tooling to hardware and network failuresHelp increase operational efficiency between peers and cross-functional teams by identifying roadblocks, designing and delivering automation solutions, and driving changeProactively improve our network infrastructure by designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions/toolsManage current tooling for network provisioning, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshootingImprove access to network telemetry data across the Crusoe Datacenters, Backbone, and Edge NetworksCollaborate with various Network Engineering teams to ensure implementation consistency across the entire networkMaintain comprehensive documentation for automation processes, tools, and proceduresProvide mentorship and training to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvementYou Will Thrive In This Role If:10+ years of network automation experience within a large-scale environment, building tools and software for production NetworksSolid experience in developing and understanding network device configurations for at least one network vendor (e.g. Arista, Juniper, Cisco, Brocade, Ciena, Infinera, Nokia, etc.)Experience in at least one programming language (e.g. Python, Go, C++, or Java), and rapidly learning new development languagesDemonstrated knowledge of TCP, IPv4/6, Routing Protocols (one or more of BGP, MPLS, ISIS, or similar), and related network services (e.g. DHCP and DNS)Experience with software and network debugging, profiling, and instrumentation techniquesAdditional experience in developing automation tools for network operations such as provisioning (e.g. ZTP), deployments, monitoring, remediation, and software push systems in a DevOps environmentExperience with developing distributed systems and operating them at scaleExperience designing and maintaining automated testing infrastructureIn-depth knowledge of network protoc ...
