In this role, you will be responsible for the design, operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of electrical systems supporting mission-critical data center environments. This includes power distribution systems, UPS, generators, switchgear, and related infrastructure to ensure optimal uptime and operational efficiency.The ideal candidate will have experience in large-scale electrical systems, strong troubleshooting abilities, and a deep understanding of reliability engineering in high-availability environments. You will collaborate with facilities, construction, and IT teams to support both new builds and existing operations across multiple data centers.ResponsibilitiesDesign and review electrical systems to support data center operations, including power distribution, redundancy, and fault toleranceOversee installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical infrastructureMonitor system performance and respond to power-related issues and outagesEnsure compliance with safety standards, codes (e.g., NEC, NFPA), and company policiesConduct root cause analysis of electrical failures and implement corrective/preventive measuresSupport capacity planning and risk assessments for electrical systemsMaintain accurate documentation of electrical systems and schematicsRequired ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related technical field7+ years of experience designing, operating, or delivering mission-critical electrical infrastructure for data centers, hyperscale facilities, or other high-availability environmentsDeep understanding of medium- and low-voltage power systems, grounding and bonding, coordination studies, arc-flash analysis, and electrical safety standardsHands-on experience with electrical modeling and analysis tools as well as AutoCAD or similar design platformsProven experience working with UPS systems, switchgear, backup generators, PDUs, and building management systems (BMS) in high-density, always-on environmentsAbility to collaborate effectively with mechanical, controls, construction, and operations teams across fast-paced projectsPreferred ExperienceProfessional Engineer (PE) licenseExperience supporting large-scale or hyperscale data center deployments, including power-dense AI or HPC environmentsExposure to commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical systems in live production facilitiesWhat We BringMission driven companyCompetitive SalaryStock Options100% paid Medical, Dental, and Vision insuranceFlexible PTOPaid Holidays401(k)Parental LeaveFlexible Spending AccountShort Term Disability InsuranceLife and Voluntary Supplemental InsuranceMental Health Benefits through Spring HealthWe’re looking for resilient, adaptable people to join our team, people who believe in the mission and think at massive scale.
