Inventory Specialist (Starlink) - 2nd Shift

Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars.</p></div><p><strong>INVENTORY SPECIALIST (STARLINK) - 2ND SHIFT</strong></p> <p>The Inventory Specialist position supports the Starlink factory. As Starlink continues to grow, we are expanding our inventory operation specifically for Starlink satellites. This role is responsible for completing put-aways for inbound material, picking products for production, filling the lineside build locations with materials, putting finished goods into inventory, picking finished goods for customer orders, and ensuring inventory accuracy.</p> <p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p> <ul class="list-inside list-disc whitespace-normal [li_]:pl-6" data-streamdown="unordered-list"> <li class="py-1 [>p]:inline" data-streamdown="list-item">Receive, store, and issue raw materials, parts, details, and hardware to support shop operations.</li> <li class="py-1 [>p]:inline" data-streamdown="list-item">Organize and store parts and materials in bins, drawers, and racks, clearly identifying parts and storage locations.</li> <li class="py-1 [>p]:inline" data-streamdown="list-item">Adhere to strict material handling practices and procedures.</li> <li class="py-1 [>p]:inline" data-streamdown="list-item">Perform picking and kitting functions to assemble required kits of parts, materials, and hardware, ensuring all items are available and accounted for.</li> <li class="py-1 [>p]:inline" data-streamdown="list-item">Inspect incoming materials for conformance to accompanying paperwork, verifying condition, part numbers, quantities, and revisions.</li> <li class="py-1 [>p]:inline" data-streamdown="list-item">Issue materials per approved documentation, including applying verification and traceability markings to serialized parts; validate lot traceability.</li> <li class="py-1 [>p]:inline" data-streamdown="list-item">Comply with all procedures, desk instructions, and standard operating documents.</li> <li class="py-1 [>p]:inline" data-streamdown="list-item">Monitor shelf-life items and maintain proper stock rotation (FIFO).</li> <li class="py-1 [>p]:inline" data-streamdown="list-item">Support organizational metrics, goals, and objectives.</li> <li class="py-1 [>p]:inline" data-streamdown="list-item">Maintain housekeeping standards in the work area.</li> <li class="py-1 [>p]:inline" data-streamdown="list-item">Conduct cycle counts.</li> </ul> <p><strong>BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalency certificate</li> <li>1+ years of inventory control experience</li> </ul> <p><strong>PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:</strong></p> <ul> <li>3+ years of inventory control experience in a warehouse</li> <li>Experience and understanding of inventory and kitting processes</li> <li>Experience operate a forklift and other related inventory equipment</li> <li>Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)</li> <li>Experience within the aerospace, automotive, semiconductor, or electronic fields</li> <li>ERP system experience (SAP, Oracle, etc.)</li> <li>Bachelor's degree in logistics or supply chain management</li> </ul> <p><strong>ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Must be available for the following shifts:<br> <ul> <li>2nd Shift: Monday to Friday (2:00 PM - 12:00 AM) and a rotating Saturday</li> </ul> </li> <li>Must be able to work overtime and/or weekends when needed to meet critical deadlines</li> <li>Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. unassisted</li> <li>Lifting, standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying are generally required to perform the functions of this position</li> <li>Must be willing to work in an open-aired environment, lacking t ...
