Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars.</p></div><p><strong>SOFTWARE ENGINEER, PCBA (STARLINK)</strong></p> <p>As a Software Engineer on the PCBA design and manufacturing team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining software that interfaces with manufacturing equipment on our production line, with the goal of making our PCBA manufacturing process faster and more reliable. This is a high-autonomy role that will require building close relationships with manufacturing staff to understand issues, and coming up with software solutions interfacing with APIs or hardware that may have little or no documentation or vendor support. We are looking for people who like to own a problem from start to finish in a high-responsibility and low-micromanagement environment!</p> <p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES: </strong></p> <ul> <li>Develop highly reliable software solutions that are used across SpaceX production and engineering</li> <li>Create new applications that improve how SpaceX production operates</li> <li>Build prototypes to prove out key design concepts and quantify technical constraints</li> <li>Deep dive into users’ problems to find and create efficient solutions</li> <li>Integrate electronics design software to manufacturing equipment</li> <li>Display ownership throughout and following the release process for applications</li> </ul> <p><strong>BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or scientific discipline</li> <li>1+ years of experience in full stack development discipline</li> </ul> <p><strong>PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Programming experience in C#.NET, Python, Go, Java or similar object-oriented language</li> <li>Experience with version control, continuous integration, and continuous delivery concepts</li> <li>Expertise in designing software systems</li> <li>Deep understanding of testing, continuous integration, build, deployment monitoring</li> <li>Expertise in profiling and improving application performance</li> <li>Experience with build systems (Make, Bazel) and package management tools (pip, npm)</li> <li>Experience with UNIX-like operating systems</li> <li>Experience working with in-stream data processing using Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, or similar technologies</li> <li>Experience with Docker and Kubernetes</li> <li>Front-end experience in Angular, React, or similar JavaScript framework</li> <li>Database experience with PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or similar database technologies</li> <li>Experience with enterprise grade ERP systems</li> <li>Experience integrating third-party industrial equipment (Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Fuji, Nordson, etc.)</li> <li>Experience integrating third-party CAD Software (NX, Altium, Xpedition, etc.)</li> </ul> <p><strong>ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed</li> <li>This position is based in Redmond, WA (Seattle area), and requires being onsite full-time – hybrid and remote work will not be considered</li> </ul> <p><strong>COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: </strong></p> <p>Pay range: <br>Software Engineer/Level I: $122,500.00 - $145,000.00/per year <br>Software Engineer/Level II: $140,000.00 - $170,000.00/per year</p> <p>Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.</p> <p>Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX.
