Diesel Technician - Entry Level

Check out more below: </p> <ul> <li>Accrue 104 hours of PTO in your first year!</li> <li>Competitive benefits that include medical, dental, vision, and matching 401k, along with other cool perks programs including student loan payments, discounts on vehicles, benefits for your pets, and much more. </li> </ul> <p>We’re looking for motivated team players with <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>at least 6 months experience working with heavy equipment</strong></span> to: </p> <ul> <li>Perform general and preventative maintenance for all heavy equipment in our fleet in alignment with Carvana standards (including brake and tire repair).</li> <li>Inspect all equipment regularly and perform light diagnostics, troubleshooting, and electrical work.</li> <li>Maintain accurate and proper records for all repairs performed on our fleet (including parts records). </li> <li>Replace and repair all tires within the TIA parameters and guidelines. </li> <li>Pass and maintain the DTNA Warranty course. </li> </ul> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>General qualifications and requirements include:</strong></span></p> <ul> <li>At least 6 months experience in Heavy Class 8 Mechanical Industry or a similar industry. </li> <li>Valid Driver’s License. </li> <li>Must have your own tools to complete daily tasks, specialty tools will be provided by Carvana.</li> <li>Requires standing for extended periods of time with frequent stretching, reaching, walking and stooping, pushing and/or pulling in an environment that may be cold, hot, noisy, and wet and may have fumes or odors due to vehicle maintenance.</li> <li>Must be able to carry and transport up to 60 pounds up to 20 feet.</li> <li>Ability to communicate and interact with others effectively in a professional, courteous manner. </li> <li>Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.</li> <li>Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both written and oral.</li> </ul> <p><em>This job description is not designed to contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
