Foreman/Master Mechanic

Check out more below: </p> <ul> <li>Accrue 104 hours of PTO in your first year!</li> <li>Competitive benefits that include medical, dental, vision, and matching 401k, along with other cool perks programs including student loan payments, discounts on vehicles, benefits for your pets, and much more. </li> </ul> <p>We’re looking for motivated team players with <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>at least 5 years of experience working with heavy equipment</strong></span> to: </p> <ul> <li>Effectively oversee day-to-day operations within the assigned technician team. </li> <li>Proactively provide the team with a clear understanding of expectations, performance measures, goals, and feedback. </li> <li>Manage invoices for all repairs completed by third-party vendors at this location. </li> <li>Manage parts room(s) according to guidelines provided by the Centralized Parts Team.</li> <li>Maintain accurate and legal records for respective ELD and fleet programs.</li> <li>Diagnose (using engine diagnostic equipment) and perform general, preventative maintenance, and DVIR for all heavy equipment. Use welders, torches, and plasma cutters to weld or fabricate broken parts.</li> </ul> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>General qualifications and requirements include:</strong></span></p> <ul> <li>5+ years experience in Heavy Class 8 Mechanical Industry or a similar industry. </li> <li>Valid Driver’s License. </li> <li>Obtain at least two ASE Certification within the first 6 months of employment (process sponsored by Carvana). </li> <li>Must have your own tools to complete daily tasks, specialty tools will be provided by Carvana.</li> <li>Requires standing for extended periods of time with frequent stretching, reaching, walking and stooping, pushing and/or pulling in an environment that may be cold, hot, noisy, and wet and may have fumes or odors due to vehicle maintenance.</li> <li>Must be able to carry and transport up to 60 pounds up to 20 feet.</li> <li>Ability to communicate and interact with others effectively in a professional, courteous manner. </li> <li>Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.</li> <li>Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both written and oral.</li> </ul> <p><em>This job description is not designed to contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
