As a leader within Carvana’s Privacy, Data AI Governance Team, you’ll be responsible for supporting the development, maintenance, and execution of Carvana’s Privacy Program. You will leverage your technical privacy and process-building experience to ensure proper privacy controls are in place for Carvana’s business initiatives involving various levels of risk. You will closely collaborate with legal privacy and compliance counterparts, including Associate General Counsel, Senior Counsel, as well as Data Privacy and AI Governance leadership, Cybersecurity, and other colleagues to strategically shape Carvana’s Privacy Program and ensure its operational success. You will shepherd the handling and prioritization of various projects and assignments related to the development, maintenance, and execution of Carvana’s Privacy Program, and represent the Data Privacy and AI Governance team in day to day activities involving Carvana business, legal, and technology stakeholders. </p> <p><strong>Some of what you’ll be doing:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Develop a strong understanding of Carvana business processes and systems.</li> <li>Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of technical elements of Carvana’s Privacy Programs and processes to ensure compliance with relevant privacy laws and regulations.</li> <li>Lead the automation and maintenance of workflows within our Privacy Tools to support privacy request response and Cookie/Pixel management.</li> <li>Work with Privacy Counsel to identify and advise on potential privacy compliance gaps across the company, developing and implementing solutions to address the same.</li> <li>Develop, maintain, and update processes involving the intake and handling of privacy rights requests and impact and/or risk assessments.</li> <li>Establish and maintain excellent communication and positive relationships with legal, technical, and business partners to ensure successful outcomes concerning privacy compliance obligations and strategic business objectives.</li> <li>Collaborate with team members to develop, maintain, and update technical documentation, data inventories, and data mapping records.</li> <li>Work with team members to conduct regular audits of data processes and workflows across platforms and systems to identify and address gaps in data governance and privacy compliance.</li> <li>Coordinate team members’ work involving privacy and governance issues and tasks, sequencing work based on regulatory risk, business priority, and technical dependencies.</li> <li>Drive data lifecycle initiatives, specifically minimization and retention ...
