Being part of an ESOP means our employee-owners share in Challenge’s success!</p> <p>Challenge is <em>#QualityDriven and #PeoplePowered!</em></p></div><p><strong>Who We Want:</strong></p> <p>Provides financial, administrative, and clerical support by ensuring invoices are completed and customer accounts are controlled by receiving, processing, verifying and reconciling customer payments and debits according to established policies and procedures in an efficient, timely and accurate manner.</p> <p><strong>What You’ll Do:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Review daily invoicing for appropriate documentation</li> <li>Process application and reconciliation of customer payments</li> <li>Prioritize past due invoices according to customer and payment terms</li> <li>Respond to all customer inquiries</li> <li>Submit customer statements, research, and correct discrepancies</li> <li>Process customer debits and follow up with individual Plants on a weekly monthly basis</li> <li>Assist in month end closing in the Accounts Receivable module</li> <li>Update zero-dollar invoices with correct pricing</li> <li>Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and generally accepted accounting practices</li> <li>Regularly communicate payment details, KPI’s, and customer past due amounts with Management</li> <li>Assist with other projects as needed</li> </ul> <p><strong>When and Where: </strong></p> <p>This will be a 1st Shift / 8AM-5PM M-F position located at our Corporate Office in Walker, MI. </p> <p><strong>What You Need to Have: </strong></p> <ul> <li>High school diploma</li> <li>2+ years of Accounts Receivable experience</li> <li>College courses in accounting preferred</li> <li>Advanced Excel skills preferred</li> <li>Experience with PLEX ERP preferred</li> <li>Automotive industry experience preferred</li> <li>Experience with multiple location AR processing preferred</li> <li>Has high standards of performance for self.</li> <li>Takes responsibility for actions, results, and mistakes.</li> <li>Is thorough, accurate, and reliable when performing and completing job tasks; demonstrates honesty and integrity in all aspects of work.</li> <li>Takes positive action to objectively resolve conflict by listening, staying focused on issue to find resolution, and monitoring progress.</li> <li>Maintains positive relationships by constructively resolving conflicts.</li> <li>Uses feedback from others to continuously improve performance and work relationships.</li> <li>Moves within own and/or other work areas (flexes) to support plant flow.</li> <li>Works with sense of urgency to meet needs of customers.</li> <li>Has necessary experience, skills, and knowledge to perform all aspects of job; rotates through all job responsibilities.</li> <li>Maintains knowledge and skills to perform job effectively.</li> <li>Has ability to focus on benefits of change and see it as positive; approaches change or newness in con ...
