Analyzes specifications, lays out metal stock, and sets up and operations machine tools to make and repair dies.</p> <p><strong>What You'll Do:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Studies specifications such as blueprints, sketches, models, or descriptions, and visualizes product to determine materials required and machines to be used to<br>fabricate parts.</li> <li>Computes dimensions, plans layout, and determines assembly method and sequence of operations. </li> <li>Measures, marks, and scribes metal stock for machining.</li> <li>Sets up and operates machine tools such as lathes, milling machine, shaper, and grinder, to machine parts, and verifies conformance of machined parts to<br>specifications.</li> <li>Lifts machined parts and positions and secures parts on surface plate or worktable. </li> <li>Smooths flat and contoured surfaces using power grinders and fits and assembles parts together and into assemblies and mechanisms. </li> <li>Verifies dimensions, alignments, and clearances. </li> <li>Heat treats tools or parts. </li> <li>Examines standard or previously used dies, tools, and jigs and fixtures, and recommends design modifications regarding construction and function of part. </li> <li>Troubleshoot tooling analysis and resolve problems to obtain quality level of parts. </li> <li>Follow all safety precautions and company policies to prevent injury to self and others. </li> <li>Utilize calipers, micrometers, gauge pins and blocks, various other types of measurement equipment.</li> </ul> <p><strong>When and Where: </strong></p> <p>This will be a <strong>1st shift /6:00 AM - 4:30 PM</strong> <strong>Monday-Friday </strong>position located at our Plant in <strong>Cusseta, AL</strong>. </p> <p><strong>What You Need to Have:</strong></p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent (required). </li> <li><span data-teams="true">Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English at a level sufficient to safely and effectively perform job duties, including following work instructions, safety procedures, and company communications.</span></li> <li>Journeyman or completed apprenticeship (preferred).</li> <li>Must have minimum 2+ years of verifiable tool and die experience or equivalent. </li> <li>Mastercam and Solidworks experience (preferred).</li> <li>Must have intermediate level of machining and metal working experience. </li> </ul> <p> </p><div class="content-conclusion"><p><strong>What We Offer:<br></strong>We’re excited to offer a range of awesome benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a Health Savings Account with annual employer contributions, Flexible Spending Accounts, company-paid Short-Term Disability and Basic Life ...
