This is a senior leadership position responsible for the overall strategic direction, execution, and success of these critical underwater autonomous vehicle initiatives. You will lead cross-functional teams, manage complex development lifecycles, foster strong customer relationships, and ensure the successful delivery of groundbreaking capabilities to our warfighters.</p>
<p><br><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Strategic Leadership:</strong></li>
<ul>
<li>Define and drive the long-term vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Dive-XL and XL-AUV programs, aligning with Anduril's overarching company objectives.</li>
<li>Identify new opportunities and potential applications for AUV technology within the commercial and defence landscape.</li>
<li>Develop and champion innovative approaches to AUV design, development, manufacturing, and deployment.</li>
</ul>
<li><strong>Program Execution Management:</strong></li>
<ul>
<li>Oversee all aspects of the program lifecycle, from concept and design through development, testing, production, and fielding.</li>
<li>Establish and manage program budgets, schedules, and resource allocation to ensure efficient and effective execution.</li>
<li>Implement robust project management methodologies and best practices to drive predictability and accountability.</li>
<li>Proactively identify and mitigate program risks and challenges.</li>
</ul>
<li><strong>Team Leadership Development:</strong></li>
<ul>
<li>Build, lead, and mentor high-performing, multi-disciplinary teams of engineers, program managers, operations specialists, and other subject matter experts.</li>
<li>Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.</li>
<li>Attract and retain top talent within the organization.</li>
</ul>
<li><strong>Customer Engagement Business Development:</strong></li>
<ul>
<li>Understand customer needs and requirements, translating them into actionable program objectives.</li>
<li>Contribute to business development efforts for these programs.</li>
<li>Represent Anduril and the Dive-XL programs at industry events, conferences, and customer briefings.</li>
</ul>
<li><strong>Technical Oversight Innovation:</strong></li>
<ul>
<li>Provide strategic technical guidance and oversight to engineering teams, ensuring the development of robust, reliable, and cutting-edge AUV solutions.</li>
<li>Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in the AUV and naval warfare space.</li>
<li>Champion a culture of rapid prototyping and iterative development.</li>
</ul>
<li><strong>Cross-Functional Collaboration:</strong></li>
<ul>
<li>Collaborate effectively with other Anduril program teams, engineering disciplines, manufacturing, supply chain, and legal departments.</li>
<li>Ensure seamless integration of AUV capabilities with other Anduril platforms and systems.</li>
</ul>
</ul>
<p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related technical field. Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) is highly preferred.</li>
