ABOUT THE JOB
Anduril is looking for an experienced Environmental Specialist to support the development and implementation of environmental permitting and compliance efforts. This role will ensure the facility and employees are compliant with all applicable state and environmental standards.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Assist in all environmental permitting and testing efforts
Coordinate with and serve as the main point of contact for local, state, and federal regulatory agencies (i.e. DEQ, EPA)
Establish and maintain compliance with the EPA’s RMP program
Develop, manage, and update air quality permits (e.g., Title V, PSD, NSR)
Conduct emissions calculations and reporting (e.g., greenhouse gases, VOCs, HAPs)
Ensure compliance with Clean Air Act (CAA) requirements and other applicable regulations
Prepare and submit required reports (e.g., TRI, Tier II, annual emissions inventories)
Establish and maintain adherence to waste management protocols
Oversee hazardous waste permitting and ensure compliance with RCRA requirements
Manage hazardous waste disposal and tracking processes
Conduct waste characterization and implement waste minimization programs
Develop environmental safety policies, procedures, and training
Assist with environmental and safety compliance audits and follow through with corrective actions
Maintain accurate records for permits, waste management, and compliance activities
Compile data and generate reports for internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies Perform other duties as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field
Minimum 5 years of experience in environmental management, with a focus on air and hazardous waste permitting
Expertise in federal, state, and local environmental regulations (e.g., CAA, RCRA, CERCLA)
Familiarity with permitting processes, emissions modeling, and environmental compliance software
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Experience using Microsoft applications
Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience working at a PSM/RMP regulated facility
Experience working in an aerospace and/or energetics manufacturing facility
Experience with EPA, OSHA, DEQ, and ISO 14001 and/or 45001
Knowledge of pollution control technologies and sustainability practices
Professional certifications (e.g., CHMM, QEP, PE) are a plus
US Salary Range
$99,000
$131,000 USD
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
