<p>The <strong>Air Dominance and Strike Mechanical Engineering Team</strong> is responsible for designing and integrating advanced hardware for <strong>missile platforms</strong>. Air Dominance and Strike Mechanical Engineers own the <strong>full development lifecycle</strong>, from concept generation to integration and flight test, ensuring high-performance, resilient, and scalable mechanical systems that meet the demands of complex, contested environments.</p>
<h4>WHAT YOU’LL DO:</h4>
<ul>
<li>Design, develop, and integrate hardware for high-speed air vehicles.</li>
<li>Own full design lifecycles, from initial concept to real-world deployment.</li>
<li>Apply first principles of physics to guide all decisions and design processes.</li>
<li>Lead design reviews, conduct analyses, visit vendors, and define and execute hardware test plans.</li>
<li>Build prototypes, analyze failures, and transition successful projects into production.</li>
<li>Support critical hardware demonstrations with customers as needed.</li>
<li>Travel to test sites or vendor locations as needed</li>
</ul>
<h4>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:</h4>
<ul>
<li>5+ years of mechanical engineering experience in advanced air vehicle programs.</li>
<li>Familiarity with <strong>hypersonic missile systems</strong> and military standards.</li>
<li>Hands-on experience integrating electrical and mechanical subsystems into high-speed air vehicles.</li>
<li>Proficiency in designing mechanical parts using CAD software and a strong understanding of manufacturing methods, including machining, sheet metal work, composites, 3D printing, injection molding, and composite lamination.</li>
<li>Strong understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals and first principles.</li>
<li>BS or higher degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Electrical Engineering</li>
<li>Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance</li>
</ul>
<h4>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS</h4>
<ul>
<li>Experience using Siemens NX and Teamcenter software.</li>
<li>Expertise in air vehicle subsystem layouts, architectural trade studies, and vendor data evaluations.</li>
<li>An active DoD Top Secret security clearance.</li>
<li>Proficiency in advanced engineering analysis, including structural, thermal, and/or electrical domains.</li>
